Hi, I’m Matt Kidman, and I’m proud to carry on a family tradition of helping educators and school employees protect what matters most. I’ve been running the Kidman Agency since 2007, but the story goes back much further.
My stepfather started this agency in 1978 while he was still teaching in the Saline Area Schools. What began as a part-time way to serve his fellow teachers soon grew into a full-time mission to help educators with their auto, home, life, and other insurance needs.
Eventually, he retired from teaching to focus entirely on the agency. When he passed the torch to me, I knew I was stepping into something bigger than just insurance—it was about continuing a legacy of service to the people who’ve shaped our lives.
I come from a family of educators.
My mom’s a retired teacher, my uncle was a school guidance counselor, and another family member is a high school teacher. So many of my closest family members have given their careers to education, and it’s incredibly rewarding to support people like them every day.
Whether it’s a teacher who stays late to help a student, a bus driver who always greets children with a smile, or a university employee working behind the scenes to keep things running—helping people like that isn’t just my job, it’s personal.
